IS COACHING FOR ME?
Are you a Parent, Guardian or Professional?
Have you read a book, listened to a CD, watched a DVD or attended a seminar and still have questions?
Need a friendly, encouraging and supportive voice?
Someone who understands?
Need a like mind to assist you in applying the information to your child or client?
Would you like receive assistance from the comfort of your own home at a time that is convenient for you?
Then the Answer is YES! Coaching is an excellent option for families and professionals who are striving to create healing in families, but find themselves struggling on their journey. You can present specific situations and concerns and gain personal specific feedback and recommendations. For many, this is an extremely cost-effective way to have Post-trained professional support as they implement a new paradigm of understanding in their home or in their professional practice.
HERE IS WHAT OTHERS HAVE SAID
"When we started to experience some of the different attachment issues with our four daughters, we knew we would need some kind of intervention. We spoke with a therapist over the phone; she mentioned that an adopted sibling group of four sisters can 'never' heal and if she spoke with us prior to our adoption she would have talked us out of adopting a sibling group...... I was shocked! I hung up the phone and thought to myself, 'These are our daughters, whom we love, and they can and WILL heal. It just takes a lot of love and patience.' I was definitely starting to feel burnt out, but that didn't stop me, along with my husband, who became very supportive after hearing me cry a few nights a week about the meltdowns I had experienced with our girls. We had read many books, with The Connected Child by Karen Purvis being one of our favorites, as well as Beyond Consequences. After much research, I came across the Post Institute through Journey to Me and wrote an e-mail telling our story.
"I have to say, after having some coaching sessions, we feel it was the BEST thing we have ever experienced. Not only have we seen fewer meltdowns...we are getting better with figuring out the different 'triggers.' We have also realized that in order to help our children heal, we need to look deep within ourselves and heal as well. We will definitely continue to work with the Post Institute. They are the 'breath of fresh air' that we needed! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!" ~J.B. Ft Myers, FL (Adoptive mother of 4 daughters)
"Parent Coaching has been a real blessing for my husband and me. We are well read in adoption literature and have attended many attachment related seminars and camps but putting the knowledge into place for our family is not as easy as it might seem. An example: kids whine about wanting food, money, diversions of all sorts...some seem legit and some seem excessive. How to draw a line and for what issues and reasons becomes a huge issue. Another: my kids can be extremely thoughtless and rude. At times my feelings are hurt and I cannot interpret the behaviors well to find a good response. Our coach has been helpful in these areas. She also is kind and supportive AND understands the stresses we live with. Her ready ear really helps me feel supported and do my best using the Post Institute methods. Our family is getting healthier and happier. I can tell by the number of fights the kids have with each other and by my own physical responses to their behaviors." ~KF California (Adoptive Mother of 3)
"Each session with Helene Timpone, leaves me with a feeling of empowerment because I am not only enlightened to an exceptional healthy parenting style, but I am given the tools to help me carry them out. I have become aware of the importance in developing and continuing to preserve my relationship with my child. I was amazed that something so simple would diminish my child's defiance and create peace within me." ~Maria T. Florida
